UPS Systems
(Uninterrupted Power Supply)

WHAT IS AN UPS SYSTEM?

An UPS system protects electrical equipment from low voltage and high voltage power received from your power company. It is not uncommon to have voltages as high as 130 or as low as 106. These UPS systems can be set to monitor the voltage and keep it in the 116 to 122 range. The second amost understood reason we use UPS systems is to protect against a short power outage. During even a blip in the power all data being entered in to a computer will be lost without any protection. Common equipment should be backed up including computers, telephones, POS (POINT OF SERVICE) and cash wrap areas, and all valuable electronic equipment.
